Previous President Donald Trump, in an at instances contradictory assertion, responded to the launch of documents that confirmed him pressuring officials at the Justice Department to subvert last year’s election.
In the statement produced on Saturday, Trump denied that the documents showed that he sought to overturn last year’s election while repeating the baseless voter fraud statements that have been central to his bid to delegitimize Joe Biden’s win.
