Comcast’s Online Essentials Program Announces $200,000 in Grants and Begins Distributing 3,000 Laptops to Baltimore Metropolis Businesses Committed to Workforce Progress and Electronic Fairness

BALTIMORE, Nov. 17, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Comcast’s World-wide-web Essentials program declared now a key workforce growth initiative in Baltimore Town that incorporates $200,000 in grants. In addition, the corporation began distributing 3,000 new laptops to various corporations across the town focused on education and learning, workforce enhancement and digital equity, which includes:

  • Mayor’s Place of work of Work Advancement
  • Neighborhood College of Baltimore County
  • Baltimore City Community College or university
  • Baltimore’s Assure
  • Catholic Charities of Baltimore
  • Center for Urban Households
  • Grassrootz (Gro-Charity)
  • Liberty Village Job
  • Digital Harbor Large Faculty

On November 11, 2021, the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) was the initial spouse to announce its $30,000 workforce development grant and a donation of laptops from Comcast. The grant will assistance college students who absence assets by the college’s Scholar Emergency Aid Fund whilst the laptops will go to learners enrolled in CCBC certificate and grownup literacy
