Comcast Opens New Xfinity Store Outside Tacoma Mall

Comcast announced today that it has opened a new Xfinity store outside the Tacoma Mall after closing its former retail location at 5935 6^th Avenue. To celebrate the new store opening, Comcast will host a grand opening event this Saturday, Dec. 18, which will include balloons, music, and Xfinity branded items (while supplies last) for customers.

Located at 4301
South Steele Street in Tacoma, the new retail center offers customers a
completely reinvented in-store experience that allows customers to
interact with the complete line of Xfinity technology offerings, including
Xfinity X1, Xfinity Home, Xfinity Internet, Flex, and Xfinity Mobile.

X1, in an all-new, fully interactive environment,” said Tacoma Xfinity

Employment platform CareerBuilder is gearing up for an influx of traffic at the start of 2022 after seeing a major jump in users this past January, and the company’s CEO shared with FOX Business her predictions for how the job market will operate throughout the coming year.

In analyzing their data, CareerBuilder saw a 43% jump in new users in January 2021 from the month before, along with a 20% increase in resume uploads and a 5.4% uptick in jobs applied to.

While an annual boost from New Year’s resolutions is expected, the “Great Resignation” followed in 2021 – and it might not be over.

Why My New Year’s Resolution Is to Buy More Amazon

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) shares are little changed this year, compared to a 20% increase for the S&P 500. So it’s clear the retailer’s stock performance in 2021 hasn’t been the best. Even worse, in the most recent quarter, Amazon reported declines in net income and operating income. And free cash flow dropped to $2.6 billion for the trailing 12 months compared to more than $29 billion in the year-earlier period.

But instead of forgetting all about this retail giant, I would look to buy more Amazon shares. Of course, I’m disappointed the stock didn’t post a strong performance this year. But I know that rough earnings reports today don’t spell catastrophe for Amazon. Instead, they spell investment in the business. Let’s take a closer look at why my New Year’s resolution is to buy more Amazon stock.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — As generous Kentucky residents try to find ways to help the victims of last weekend’s violent storms, the Better Business Bureau has some advice on how to avoid donation scams.

At this time, the Kentucky Governor’s office requests that donations be sent or taken to the following address:

Mayfield-Graves County Fairgrounds, 1004 KY-121, Mayfield, KY 42066

Needed items include: water, flash lights, head lamps, batteries, work gloves, new socks, new undergarments, blankets, coats, warm clothes, shoes, and toiletries.

Monetary Donations

Gov. Andy Beshear has established the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund to help those affected by the tornados and the severe weather system. Go to https://secure.kentucky.gov/formservices/Finance/WKYRelief to donate.

A North Carolina police chief told cops where they can get fake COVID-19 vaccine cards, a town official alleged.
Oakboro Town Administrator Doug Burgess put police chief TJ Smith on a two-week unpaid leave.
Smith apologized in a statement to local outlet WBTV.

A North Carolina police chief was placed on unpaid leave after he reportedly told officers about a “self-vaccination” clinic where they could get COVID-19 vaccine cards even if they didn’t take the vaccine, local outlet WBTV reported.

Town Administrator Doug Burgess sent Smith a letter that said the reported advice violated personnel policies.

Oakboro Police Chief TJ Smith was placed on a two-week unpaid leave starting on December 21, as well as six-month probation, the WBTV reported.

Burgess also told Smith that further violation could result in termination, according to the letter obtained by WBTV.
