Dan Ashburn knows that running an Amazon business can be tricky, as the most intuitive techniques aren’t necessarily the way to get the best results. In fact, he has quite a lot of knowledge to share about running an Amazon business, which is why he launched Titan Network, a mentoring and networking opportunity for Amazon sellers who are serious about scaling their businesses.

Getting an Early Start

Ashburn’s journey into entrepreneurship began when he was a young teenager, growing up in the United Kingdom. At age 13, while his friends were out playing football, he was at home learning how to build websites and using a variety of platforms, like Yahoo! and GeoCities.

“I was building websites and selling them to local businesses. I had kind of become known as the guy whom you go to for Google SEO and advertising,” stated Ashburn.

His entrepreneurial spirit had to be put on the back burner when he joined the British Air Force at 17 years old. What didn’t take a backseat was the ongoing development of his technical skills, which helped him progress quickly within the military. However, he was unable to let go of his business acumen entirely and continued to run a side gig.

After having served in the military for more than four years, Ashburn was back in the game full time. And within a year, he and his partner, John, had launched a seven-figure marketing agency, which had offices located in the city center of Birmingham, U.K. He has launched more than 200 websites, in addition to more than 600 SEO campaigns.

Time for Something New

Though Ashburn enjoyed building his business, he soon found himself tired of the constant grind. He hadn’t started a company to have it consume every minute of his life.

“I was getting burnt out, and I was looking for a new way of having that freedom of being my own boss without being pinned to my desk,” he said.

That’s when he learned about selling on Amazon, stating, “One day, an email landed in my inbox about the opportunity of building a private label business on Amazon, which didn’t make any sense to me at the time. I thought Amazon was just big brands, but what I came to learn is that if you source products and print your brand on that product, you own your brand and on Amazon, you own 100% of those sales.”

He decided to give it a shot, and as of today, he has been selling on Amazon for the past seven years and manages a 170-person team across more than 40 brands. His success has propelled him to celebrity status amongst Amazon sellers as he began getting requests for speaking engagements. He also created teaching seminars to help new entrepreneurs find success as well.

Titan Network

Ashburn believes that entrepreneurship is a vehicle to a better life, one lived with intention, and he believes in sharing the benefits of his achievements with others. As such, he has founded Titan Network with the help of his partner, Athena Severi.

Severi brought her expertise in networking and bringing people together, which paired perfectly with Ashburn’s knowledge. With Titan Network, new or struggling entrepreneurs can benefit from his know-how and learn to scale their businesses to quick success.

Determining the Future

With Titan Network, Ashburn is looking to create a movement, not just a business. He wants people to understand the potential they have and believe in their ability to build success. He holds the belief that anyone can reach their goals if they just believe in themselves, in spite of their previous failures.

While many people spend the entirety of their lives toiling away at an unsatisfactory job until retirement, Ashburn believes in breaking the mold and living life on your own terms.

“You can determine what your day-to-day life should look like to keep you happy,” he said. “That happiness comes from understanding what you want that life to look like and designing it to deliver.”
